11th Annual Restoration Fair and Swap Meet

  • Sunday, April 24, 2016
  • 10:00 - 15:00
  • Heritage Acres, 7321 Lochside Drive, Saanichton, BC

Hello fellow British car enthusiast:

The Old English Car Club, South Island Branch, presents the 11th Annual Restoration Fair and Swap Meet for English vehicles on Sunday, April 24th, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Heritage Acres, 7321 Lochside Drive, Saanichton. This is the Saanich Historical Artifacts Society property. It is just east of the Pat Bay Highway in Central Saanich off Island View Road down from Michells Farm Market.

The event will basically be the same format as last year but with some small changes. We have recently updated our web site so it is possible to register and pay on-line if you wish. Go to http://www.oecc.ca/sib .  Click on “Events” down to “Restoration Fair”. Note the wording “To register use the Online Registration below or download the registration form here”.  If you wish to complete the paper form print it off, fill it in and mail it to either of the contacts below (Roy Pullen or Trevor Parker).

Do note that the Registration Form includes in part the following sections:

  • RESERVE SWAP MEET SPACE OR TRADE SPACE (After reserving your space you should indicate how many tables you would like to rent – or you can bring your own.)
  • RESERVE CAR CLUB SPACE (This is for the benefit of British vehicle clubs.)
  • BRITISH VEHICLE (S)  FOR SALE AREA  This very popular and you will have hundreds of British car enthusiasts ready to talk to you about your British vehicle for sale. Please note that this special area has room for TWENTY vehicles so do reserve as early as you can. Suggestions: Wash and polish your car; clean up the engine compartment; clean the wheels and tires; consider having photos of any restoration work; prepare some handout sheets (maybe a dozen?) with the details of your car and your contact information that folks can take with them. Bring a felt marker to fill in the For Sale card provided. It is a good idea to bring a chair and some snacks so you can always be close to your car to answer questions.

We look forward to seeing you.

Regards,

Roy Pullan, Committee Chair, Old English Car Club, South Island Branch

P.S. Please consider forwarding this message to other British car enthusiasts who may not be club members.  Thanks.
