The British are coming again to the Fort
It's motoring time in Fort Langley with the Langley Area Mostly British Motoring Club (LAMB) presenting the 10th annual St. George's British Motoring show. On April 26th, up to 100 cars, trucks, and military vehicles and a Double Decker bus will be on the grounds of the Fort Langley Community hall from 10am to 4pm.
"10 years ago we began our first show with Fort Langley" stated John Walkden, current president and a founding member of the LAMB club. " We never realized that our show would be here 10 years later and still popular with the general public.
This year is the 60th anniversary of the MGA , one of Britain's' best known sports cars. A good field of these cars are expected along with MG. Triumph, Rolls Royce, Jaguar. Morris, Austin, Land Rover, Morgan, Jensen, British taxis, Austin Healey and other Marques.
Another addition this year is a British Military showing of a Ferret, and a Sopwith Camel airplane from the Canadian Museum of Flight.
The Club has also organized a silent auction with some great prize packages for the participants and the general public. There is no charge to view the cars and only a $10 fee to register your vehicle at the show. Net proceeds from the show are donated the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Langley.
